Philip Ebeneyer
General Manager – Operations, Asia Hub
What does he do?
Philip is an occupational safety and health professional with vast experience in shipyards, oil and gas, and building construction for over 20 years across Singapore.
He started his career as a rig training coordinator with a GlobalSantaFe drilling contractor and progressed on to be an HSE advisor and trainer for Transocean for the Asia Pacific unit in Singapore. Trained and skilled by Transocean International in offshore HSE, Philip spent much time on many offshore rigs in the Asia-Pacific region, training crews at the various locations that he was assigned to. He also trained as a practitioner of the Equilibria Personality Profiling program known as the E-Colours, where he facilitated this program for the Transocean APAC unit.
Philip moved on to project HSE management for new build rigs with Larsen Oil and Gas and completed his project management portfolio with Golar Management as HSE Manager for the conversion, repair, and new build of the FLNG Gimi in Seatrium, Singapore. While most of his working tenure was in the oil and gas sector, Philip has sound experience in construction and shipbuilding safety.
But who is he really?
Philip passionately displays huge amounts of compassion, care, and communication with all around and about him. He is actively involved in Singapore’s Migrant Workers wellbeing programme, serving as the Chairman of Life Centre Community Services (Migrant I-CARE) and overseeing programmes for them as well as lending a listening ear to their various issues. In his free time, he enjoys all genres of music and plays several instruments as a hobby.
One thing you may not know about him
Philip used to work for Hard Rock Café Asia as the opening team for outlets in various locations, such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. He has managed technical riders for many prolific musicians and artists by organising their meals and providing support whenever they were brought into Asia for their concert tours. He has worked with BB King, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kenny G, Southern Sons, Simply Red, and a host of other artists during his tenure with the Hard Rock Café.
