Global Engineering Solutions (MSD, known as Merck in the USA and Canada) is having a good and reliable partnership with Fusion Safety for more than a decade now and their service contains construction safety support on our sites in Singapore, China and New Zealand. It’s important to mention that their safety professionals act as if they are MSD employees and you won’t see the difference in the field. Global Engineering Solutions, Singapore, has worked with Fusion Safety on multiple retrofit and brownfield projects. I recommend the Hero Code so that everyone knows what is the lingo even if he or she is not practising. Skills learned are applicable to other areas such as management.

The Hero Code is a great program, giving a framework for building safety leadership within the team and between the team and the craft. It centres around the concept of building rapport (including the craft at all levels) and gives a well-defined structure and roles (Sponsors, Coaches, Captains) for achieving that. The structure and roles of the Hero Code are easy to understand and for the teams to follow. Very positive feedback on the section that challenges individuals to reflect on what aspects of their own style are good, but also what they need to work on to improve as a leader.
